Tell me more about your latest book

The Great Turnaround – Awakening Call for the Next Generation – came out of a preparation time for a small group evening. I was reading the story of King Hezekiah and how his life impacted his whole generation and the future of his nation. But on that evening, I only prepared a minor part and laid it down for two years. Then, at the beginning of 2021, the Lord spoke to me to write a devotional about Hezekiah. So I started by dividing the story into “daily pieces.” First, I wanted to write for 21 days, but the daily devotional would have been too long. So I finally found a way to write it for 40 days.

It is not only leading the reader through the story; it makes a well a connection between the life of Hezekiah and the reader.

Each chapter has scriptures that underline the main point of the day and prayer point, that you can use as a guideline or inspiration for your own prayer time.

The main focus lies on the importance of praying for your nation and the importance of getting rid of old bondages that often people hold back, from stepping in a life full of purpose. So while walking through “The Great Turnaround,” the reader will not only pray for the nation and get insight into the spiritual situation of the nation. At the same time, the devotional opens up an insight into the reader’s own life, how difficult situations could be solved.

What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?

It was sometimes not easy to find the right words for all the spiritual coherences. To shorten all aspects down into a daily devotional and at the same time not to lose the importance of the message in each of the 40 devotionals. To hold on to the red line of the basic story and at the same time writing a book that will set healing free in the reader’s life while praying along with the daily prayer points.

What is your normal procedure to get your books published?

I am an InDieAuthor; I publish my books on several platforms worldwide by myself. With my Editor, Covercreator, and Formatter, I have helping hands to get the message out. At the moment, I am working on a procedure that we will follow along with all upcoming books, so it is not jet “normal” for us.

Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?

Yes, definitively. In the meanwhile, I write every day for my Facebook and Instagram and publish there little devotionals. And for sure, the next book is coming; the plan is to publish in November this year. It is on my heart to share as much as possible with the world.

How many books have you written so far?

IN HIS PRESENCE – Honor GOD with your LIFE

IN SEINER GEGENWART – Ehre GOTT mit deinem LEBEN

The Great TURNAROUND – Awakening Call for the Next Generation

Der Große Wendepunkt – Weckruf für die nächste Generation   -> coming soon

What’s the best way to market your books?

Going on Interviews, Podcasts and by selling them directly through my website was for me so far the best to get my books out. With promotions, it worked in Newsletters very well when the ebook was reduced. But I started as a newbie one year ago, so maybe, when my audience is growing, other marketings work way much better.

How hard or easy is it to establish and maintain a career in writing?

To maintain a career in writing means a lot of work that has nothing to do with writing. I mean, for me, the writing point is not the problem. I love writing and sharing the message. But all the extras to organize takes a lot of power and time, but it is necessary to you’re your audience and establish a career. So to say it is always easy would not be the truth. And you have to know that you want it. It is a daily fight to get motivated if sales don’t go in the direction you were hoping for.

What is your advice for aspiring writers?

I would recommend to practice writing every day and never stop holding on to your dream. It is important to have a role module, who is publishing in the same nice. How does this person act in publicity? What can I learn there? It is important to get knowledge of the market and have goals. The combination will keep the motivation!
