Interview with Author Emmanuel Eko
Author Emmanuel Eko is a public speaker and pastor of a thriving pentecostal church based in port harcourt, south Nigeria. He is also an engineering enterpreneur in line with his engineering career choice.
His vast experience in over twenty years of pastoral counseling, public speaking in various fora accross nigeria, business exposure with his exposure to psychological principles combines to make the approach of the book MINDSHIFT on issues of mind set, a must read.
He is married with to his lovely wife Naomi with two sons.
Tell me more about your latest book
The book MINDSHIFT is a book born to help solve the challenge of limiting mind sets and beliefs. We look at six various key limiting beliefs that are commonly responsible for the set backs and limitations experienced by many individuals in the first six chapters while the seventh chapter focuses on how to overcome dysfunctional mindsets and build the growth mindset necessary for a great future.
What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?
The editing stage is always the most challenging aspect in writing. Trying to make the intended thoughts well communicated to people of various cultures and exposures.
What is your normal procedure to get your books published?
I write the manuscripts, edit the manuscripts then send the manuscripts for critical analysis. After the various various critical inputs, i will then send the manuscript to a publisher.
Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?
Not totally spiritual but has so much mental work with lots of persceptions from our social interactions.
How many books have you written so far?
MINDSHIFT is my first book but other books are in various developmental stages.
What’s the best way to market your books?
Majorly online marketing.
How hard or easy is it to establish and maintain a career in writing?
I will say it is not all together easy but God has been our help.
What is your advice for aspiring writers?
Start and keep writing and make sure that your unique voice is heard by all.
