Tell me more about your latest book

My new book is entitled The Story of A Dreamer. It was published by Amazon and released for order in April 2021.

The Story of A Dreamer is a book of poetry intended to motivate, heal and encourage love for people, nature and God. My poems came from the heart, as well as, from loving memories and dreams of what if. Attorney Roy Miller’s love for people shines brightly in his words that touch the heart. We consider struggling youth trying to figure out a troubled world and how to reach acceptance of those they feel grade them on material values. The Story of A Dreamer encourages the best out of youth, high self-esteem and it emphasizes having faith in God during the hardest of times.

What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?

Writing from the heart comes easy for me. Organizing all of my poems and putting them in an order to smoothly flow from one subject to another took lots of time, because romancing the reader and consistently showing love, even when speaking of heartbreak and war is a challenging art. It’s like an Artist choosing colours as he paints a picture that he hopes will be a masterpiece.

What is your normal procedure to get your books published?

I look at my options acquired through networking and research. I look for the best opportunity for book visability to as much of the world as possible. The most beautiful Rose ever grown will go unnoticed, unless it can be seen. Exposure and promotion matter in getting a book to be heard about and talked about.

Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?

I always pray that God gives me the words to communicate positive and inspirational messages to a troubled world. God has always allowed me kindness and a chance to prove my love for him and my love for people. The Story of A Dreamer is all spiritual in substance and aims to make readers calm down, consider the messages and feel how to find their peace with God.

How many books have you written so far?

I have written one book previously, entitled My Diary of Inspirational Considerations. It was published in 2012. It is all about motivation, inspiration and love.

What’s the best way to market your books?

I am a believer that social media and word of mouth are the best controlled and targeting ways of marketing, when big bucks for magazine, radio and television advertising just are not there. Having a small budget, I rely on my spiritual belief that where there is a will there is a way. My faith and my love for God will not let me fail.

How hard or easy is it to establish and maintain a career in writing?

Building loving relationships with the reader and writing for the relationship to continue, I feel is a necessity for longevity. A love affair with loyal readers must be nurtured and never arrogantly taken for granted. Put your heart into your writing and always do your best to deliver something special.

What is your advice for aspiring writers?

Know that the ability to write as an art is a gift given by God. Always pray and ask God to allow you to show to the world the great gift in which God has bestowed unto you. Always write for great quality and aspire to be the greatest writer of all time, but always pursue your dream with integrity. Leave a legacy of love for your God given ability to write.
