Author Crystal Ann Mitchell lives in Lexington, Kentucky where she’s from, in the U.S.  She is a nurse aide and finally made her dream come true by becoming an author of the book called ‘The Beginning of Her Story’ during the pandemic in August of 2020.

Tell me more about your latest book

My book is to inspire people all around the world, to let people know that no matter how hard life gets is to always have faith in God. Through my life journey in this book I’m showing and telling the readers that when you think your life isn’t going as planned, that tend to be all the ingredients you need to become who you are to become. And to let you know that there’s purpose in that pain.

What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?

Reliving my life to tell the world.

What is your normal procedure to get your books published?

Write a story, send it off to publishers and pray that a publisher accepts it.

Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?

I would say for me it was therapeutic, because once the painful memories are out, it loses its power.

How many books have you written so far?

I have written two books “The Beginning of Her Story” and “The End of Her Story” which the second book I haven’t put out yet.

What’s the best way to market your books?

The best way to market your book is through word of mouth, social media, and doing author interviews, especially with people who’s not from your hometown.

How hard or easy is it to establish and maintain a career in writing?

If it’s God’s will He’ll lead you

What is your advice for aspiring writers?

Believe in yourself. Go to God first for any answers. Don’t tell everyone your vision because not everyone is going to see the vision that God has placed into you. You’ll have people that will project their fears on you and make you start doubting yourself and then you’ll have those that’s not going to be happy for you so be mindful of who you share your vision to.
