Interview with Author Wayne Liversidge
Author Wayne Liversidge lives in Hove, England. He’s an award winning actor involved in various short films who’s produced a successful stage play based on his life. This has now been adapted into a book. Love’s Poison is his first novel. He always likes to discover new areas of creativity and challenge himself. This is a personal passion project which he feels his story must be told.
Tell me more about your latest book
It’s the adaptation of a successful stage play based on a true story. When Jim meets Jenny on a blind date its love at first sight. But little by little her inner demons start to reveal themselves.
What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?
Reflecting back on my past events made me feel very emotional. Brought tears to my eyes as I was reliving all the events in the story.
What is your normal procedure to get your books published?
I’m a new author so this is my first novel. Just published it on Amazon.
Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?
For me I felt it was very therapeutic.
How many books have you written so far?
Only this one, I’m mainly an actor. I just felt I needed to turn my successful play into a book.
What’s the best way to market your books?
I would say through Social Media and Amazon.
How hard or easy is it to establish and maintain a career in writing?
With the will and belief I believe you can do anything in life.
What is your advice for aspiring writers?
Just go for it what have you got to lose. Everyone has a story in them. Believe in yourself, it’s amazing what you can achieve.
