Tell me more about your latest book
Warrior’s Paradigm: Turning your brokenness into your beauty is about how I transformed my life and navigated through several adversities, domestic violence, attempted suicide, self-love, self-worth, self-esteem, dealing with betrayal, loss, and number of adversities. Sharing my journey will allow readers to understand they aren’t alone and their past circumstances do not have to define your future success. Warrior’s Paradigm will empower readers to align with self-acceptance and self-love while encouraging you to start your own journey of healing and transformation.
What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?
The most challenging aspect of writing this book was revisiting the traumas and literally feeling as though I was reliving my most traumatic moments again. It was important to do so to truly share my story and have the readers experience what I was going through.
What is your normal procedure to get your books published?
I normally self-publish my books via my own publishing company, M.E. Publishing.
What motivated you to become an author?
I became an author because I wanted to share my story and experiences in hopes to impact lives. There were so many times I felt alone and if I can connect with one person and inspire them and re-spark a flame that may have been blown out or burnt out.
How many books have you written so far?
I have been a contributing author in seven books.
Get Up Girl, Win
I Am the Voice
Brand New Me
Life of an Entrepreneur
Love Mama 1st Edition
Love Mama 3rd Edition
The Power of an Overcomer
Releasing 2020 – Maximum Evolution: 7 steps to transform from victim to warrior
The Evolution Effect: Stories of breaking patterns, overcoming adversities, and
stepping into your greatness
Releasing 2021 – Two children’s illustration books
As an author, do you prefer the traditional book or online version? Why?
I prefer the traditional book. I love to touch and feel the book. I also love to highlight, write, and collect books. I love supporting fellow authors. I have a mini library.
How hard or easy is it to
establish and maintain a career in writing?
It was a challenge. Once I figured out
the method that works for me. It was seamless process. I re-wrote this book in
less than six weeks. I wrote another book in a weekend.
What is your advice for aspiring writers?
Just write or if you like to speak, just speak. We all want to have things a perfect as than can be. The most important piece to this writing puzzle is getting the content out. We all want the end result of getting the book done. Instead of focusing on the end result, set micro daily, weekly goals to work towards finishing the book. As you start to put your thoughts and ideas to paper it will literally flow don’t focus on the grammar or the punctuations, just get it out. Then you go back and edit.
