Interview with Author Veil

Ini K. Veillard is an entrepreneur, registered nurse, mother, and the founder of Avïon LLC (online store coming soon!) and Hope of 1804 Organization. After a life of learning how to pull herself up by her bootstraps, Ini lends a hand to those in need by providing feminine sanitary products and educational tools to women that are incarcerated in third world countries. As well providing school supplies to children in need. But when she isn’t fighting to empower women or caring for the sick at work, you can find Ini tearing up the dance floor and bowling the night away.

In her debut autobiography Black Amethyst, Ini tells the colorful tale of a young girl grasping for normalcy in life with her surrogate mother and cousin during the swell of one of Haiti’s most recent and violent political insurrections. Follow along as she leaves her childhood home and travels to meet her birth mother in America as a pre-teen for the first time in nearly a decade… only to meet a life more fraught with difficulty than the one she left behind.

Ramona: Tell me more about your latest book

Ramona: Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotion strongly?

Author Veil: To become a writer, all beings must be involved. If there’s no motivation, then it’s useless
