Reading this book page by page – a poem after a poem, made me realise, there is so much to love about this book, it’s hard to know where to begin.
Life is full of surprises, and it seems that author Gary Simmons wants to take his readers on a life journey, full of ups and downs. He starts with love. Things never go the way you expect them to. That’s both the joy and frustration in life.
Personally, I believe the only thing that we really have control over is our attitude. If we focus on the positive things in our lives and learn how to cope with all the surprises, we will be happier people.
Life has a way of testing a person’s will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen at once. In this book, I have found a mixture of feelings and life surprises. While reading, I imagined myself as if I was on a roller coaster.
No matter what, we should thank God for allowing us to see another day. We should keep trusting, keep believing, be strong, and have hope.
